Bricks, October, 2007
As part of their Bible class curriculum, the 3rd graders eagerly jumped at the chance to make bricks--mud and straw bricks. Just as the Israelite slaves did for several hundred years, Mrs. Kramer's students learned that brick-making is hard work and takes time. The bricks are also dirty and not real solid. With a better understanding of why the Israelites were pleading for a deliverer from Egypt, they were all grateful for the opportunity to find a career someday other than brick-making.
