Frog Dissection, February, 2008
Every other year, the junior high students participate with a one-week frog dissection for science. With many organs of a frog similar in function and shape to that of humans, it was quite interesting for the students to probe, discover, and understand the function of many. Specific items of discovery included: Renal vein, liver (three lobes), fat bodies, gall bladder, heart, ovaries, intestines, tympanum, etc. A practicum test was given on the last day of the study week, with most students scoring VERY well. When things are interesting, students do better.
