Falcons vs Alumni Girls Volleyball, January, 2008
The junior high again challenged their older alumni friends to an evening of volleyball in January, 2008. Although they were considerably younger, the junior high students held their own. They won the first game in the best of 5 match. The second and third games were won by the alumni. However, the falcons rebounded and won the fourth game, sending the match to its final and decisive fifth game. With the ball going back and forth over the net as many as 20 times during point play, it was a most-entertaining game to watch. The parents and friends really go into it, even giving the players a standing ovation at the completion of the match! Oh yes, the alumni girls pulled it out 28-26 to win the match. What a positive athletic event on a January Saturday night. What a blessing to have a gymnasium where such a game can be played! Thank you, God!
