Tutoring, 2007-2008
Tutoring is an active part of the junior high program. Once a week for about 30 minutes, the 7th & 8th graders interact with the 1st & 2nd graders. As part of the tutoring program, the junior high students also made a student profile on the younger student they worked with. Items in the profile included my favorite holiday, my favorite color, five kind things my parents do for my, my favorite Bible person. A fun one for the junior high students involved a quick quiz they gave to the younger ones. Fun questions included how far your home is from school and what is your tutor's last name. Answers were even better! The junior high students discovered that they become a positive hero to the younger ones when they take an interest in them. Thank you, God!
