From the age of 10, when she became an aunt, Beth Peterson has enjoyed children. As she grew up, this enjoyment turned into a passion as she spent time as a camp counselor at Camp Wawona, taught as a student missionary in the Marshall Islands, and later decided to work with kids full time as a teacher. Beth graduated with a degree in Multiple Subjects from Pacific Union College in 1987. She has worked in small schools in the country, and large schools in the city, all over the state of California. She has taught every elementary grade for at least one year, and has spent two years being a teaching principal in a one teacher school.
In 1994, she met the love of her life, Kenneth Peterson, while singing in a church choir. They married in 1995, and have continued to share their love of music and desire to bring glory to God. In 1999, their lives were blessed with their first child, Scott, who attends 4th grade here at Orangevale SDA. After Scott was born, Beth decided to take some time away from teaching to stay at home for five years. During that time daughter Aubrey was born. Aubrey attends 1st grade here at Orangevale SDA.
