Bounce U, November 2008
.
Trapped in the exercise spider web. So fun!

What takes oxygen to your lungs, food to your muscles, and waste to your kidneys?  Your blood, of course! The heart, being the main organ of the circulatory system, pumps your blood around from your head to your toes.  If the heart is not healthy, you won't feel as good.
Learning about our circulatory system and the need for exercise--daily. 10 minutes of excercise. Checking our heart rate.
The third graders' field trip to Bounce U was very educational.  The instructor reviewed the circulatory system and the function of a healthy heart.  She made real-looking blood and had cool models of what a heart really looks like.
Hey! I can jump! You call this exercise! I call it fun!
After some classroom instruction, it was time to get those heart pumping.  Playing on inflatable structures for about 10 minutes brought our heart rates up to aeorobic levels.
Exercise can be fun! You don't have to just run around a track to improve your heart health.  Play!
