1st Grade
The first graders look forward to spending 30 minutes a week with their 7th & 8th tutors. Emphasis is placed on positive interaction, promoting the family atmosphere, even among the students. Many of the current 7th& 8th graders clearly remember their student tutors when they were younger. The first graders continue to benefit from others taking an interest in their academic and social well-being. Activities the students are involved with include hands-on math, science, and social studies. The goal is two-fold--to have a positive impact on the younger students, and to discover the ultimate rewarding joy from helping others. God be close to these 1st graders and their tutors.
