Flag Football, September 2009
The junior high kids love to play flag football. When school begins nearly all of them find themselves out on the field getting ready for that first game. Time to step it up a notch after the summer break. Time to get in shape, learn the plays, and challenge their skills. Sunday, September 27, after 4 game with other schools, the 30 junior high Falcons, their parents and coaches traveled to Modesto for tournament day. Wow! It was fun!

With 7 other schools present, the Falcons enjoyed the lively atmosphere tucked into an athletic challenge.

Oh, it was a great time to challenge their skills, cheer for each other, experience the successes and almost-successes, and bond with each other through the influx of endorphines and adrenaline flying throughout their bodies.

Parents and coaches loved the experience too. It was so fun to watch the great kids work together as a team. 'Words of encouragement go a long ways'!

The girls team and the boys team both played three games each. The girls team even got to play a boys team - enjoyed the challenge.

Although they didn't win every game, they certainly got an opportunity to share their motto, "No matter what, Falcons are the most polite and kind athletes, no matter what".

As the season drew to a close toward the end of October, Camp Orangevale enjoyed the much-anticipated Turkey Trot Tournament Finale. The Moms played the Lady Falcons. The Dads played the Muscular Men Falcons. And the Lady Falcons played the Muscular Men Falcons.

Go parents! Go Falcons! Thank you God for a great season!
